Our story

Background for press

The name is literal. Born Between 2 Generals began with a family shaped on both sides by service — and by the plain conviction that what gets handed down matters more than what gets bought.

That conviction turned into a body of work: books for kids, teens, women, and men about living in the present and refusing to trade your worth for anyone's approval. Then it turned into software, because the questions families were asking had moved onto screens and nobody was building honest tools to answer them.

We are not asking families to log off. We are asking them to be on the screen instead of just watching it.

Today the company operates as Born Between 2 Generals, LLC. It owns its technology and licenses it to nonprofits rather than selling it away — so the mission stays with the mission, and the tools stay accountable to the people who use them.

Clear space

Keep empty space equal to the height of the "B" on all four sides. Nothing crops into it — not a photo edge, not another logo.

Minimum size

Full lockup: 120 px wide on screen, 1 in in print. Below that, use the monogram alone — the subline stops being readable.

Do not

Stretch it, rotate it, add drop shadows or foil effects, place it on a busy photo, or set the name in a different typeface.

Always written Born Between 2 Generals — numeral 2, with a space before "Generals." Never "2Generals," never "Two Generals."

Inter carries body copy, controls, and data across every DAYBREAK surface — a neutral, highly legible face that stays out of the way of the reporting. Weights 400–700. Set body at 15–16 px, 1.55 line height.

Founder bio

Kristen "Krissy" Hall is the founder of Born Between 2 Generals, LLC and the author of The Now of YOU, a four-volume series for kids, teens, women, and men on living in the present and refusing to trade your worth for approval. A self-taught builder, she develops software for child safety, media literacy, and family empowerment, and licenses it to nonprofits.
